Sun Maodong Memorial Hall

Located in the eastern part of the scenic area, the Sun Maodong Memorial Hall is a unique aquatic vessel-style pavilion, which main structure features two fish-like designs on either side, complemented by glass curtain walls resembling rippling water—a metaphor for the inseparable bond between the Party and the people akin to fish thriving in water. “A Party member stands as a banner; a Party branch serves as a fortress.” Inside the Hall, the exhibition vividly portrays the exemplary deeds of Sun Maodong, a National Labor Model, an Outstanding Communist Party Member of Shandong Province, and the former Party Branch Secretary of Weihe Village, chronicling the illustrious “trajectory” of his life. Exhibits, photographs, and narratives document the transformation of Weihe Village and his collective struggles with the community. In 2023, the Memorial Hall was designated as part of the second batch of Shandong Province’s Patriotic Education Base for Employees.
